In response to weekly photo challenge from The Daily Post
Last Tuesday I visited the beautiful Dursey Island, a small island in West Cork, Ireland.
You have to use the cable car to get over. The only cable car in Ireland and the only cable car over open water in Europe. It takes about 10 minutes.
There you can choose either mountain walk or low walk. I recommend to start with the mountain walk, it is not the toughest trek out there but I wish we would start with it and get back via the low walk rather then the other way around.
You meet various inhabitants on the island…
and one friendliest little donkey.
There are some people living there as well, we met a 90 year old lady driving around on a car with no plates(no picture, hopefully she was real). It was also the first time I have seen dog looking after sheep outside of TV.
It takes about 2 hours from one end the the other but the view is worth it.
Definitely worth a visit.
